Couples Intensive Services

Couples 2-Day Intensive: a relationship reset.

Roughly 12 focused, immersive hours with an EFT couples therapist over two days. Complete in a weekend what would normally take 5 to 6 months of weekly therapy.

Intensives begin with a free 30-minute phone consult to ensure fit and readiness.

What It Is

Deep work, fast.

The Couples 2-Day Intensive gives you roughly 12 hours of focused, uninterrupted time with a skilled EFT couples therapist. No waiting for the next weekly session. No losing momentum between appointments. Just two days dedicated entirely to understanding your relationship at a deeper level and creating real change.

Emotionally Focused Therapy is the gold-standard, research-backed approach to couples work and the APA's top-recommended modality for relationship therapy. Completing the 2-day intensive is roughly equivalent to 5 to 6 months of weekly couples sessions: it's effective, efficient and designed for couples who are ready to do the work.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your cycle, new ways of reaching for each other, and a roadmap for continuing the work together.

Get the Most Out of It

Set yourself up for success.

Read Hold Me Tight®

Dr. Sue Johnson's book introduces the core concepts of EFT in a warm, accessible way. Many couples say reading it before the intensive deepened their experience.

Treat it like a retreat

Clear your calendar. Plan for rest, good food and self-care between sessions. The work is deep: give yourself space to process and recover.

Arrange follow-up sessions

The intensive creates momentum. One or two follow-up sessions help you integrate what you've learned and keep building on it.

Good to Know

When it may not be the right fit.

A 2-day intensive is a significant commitment. In some situations, it may not be the right format. A free phone consult helps us determine fit together, and if the intensive isn't right for you, we'll offer referrals to resources that are.

There is an active, ongoing affair that a partner is unwilling to pause for the intensive

One or both partners are struggling with active, unaddressed addiction

There is active intimate-partner violence or abuse in the relationship

Partners are not committed to the same goals or one partner is being coerced into attending

Long periods of close contact are triggering and destabilising for one or both partners

Every intensive begins with a free, no-pressure phone consult. We'll talk about where you are, where you want to be and whether this format is the right fit.

$1,000 — $3,000 · 4-hour and 1-day options are also available

Consider the cost of not working on your relationship. The average divorce in the United States costs over $15,000 — and that's just the financial side. An intensive is an investment in your future together, in the health of your family and in the quality of your daily life.

Restored Counseling & Wellness Center is a private-pay practice. Superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement, and we've partnered with Thrizer to make that process simple. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
