Nick is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and co-founder of Restored Counseling & Wellness Center. For over ten years he has helped couples and individuals move through the places they feel stuck — toward deeper connection, healing and restoration.
He brings a warm, grounded presence and a deep belief that we are built for connection. His work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and he is also trained in EMDR, Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My Story
I have always been really good at noticing the emotions and feelings of others. I thought of it as a superpower. My own therapist once said that it is probably why I became a therapist. I initially felt a sense of pride, but as we continued therapy, she informed me that this was also an adaptive strategy that protected me from feeling and facing my own emotions.
This realization began an ongoing work of connecting more authentically with myself and others. It led to growth in my confidence and freedom to be myself and improved the work I do with my clients. With the support of my therapist, I was able to uncover this old strategy that was causing issues in my adult relationships and marriage.
This type of healing and change is why I love the work that I do. I am passionate about helping people grow, heal, and restore themselves in ways that we cannot and should not do alone.
My Approach
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I believe we are built for connection. Through a safe and caring therapeutic relationship, I guide my clients toward deeper healing and connection. I have over ten years of therapy experience and extensive training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I also utilize EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to deepen my work with both couples and individuals.
Supervision
Apart from helping clients in therapy, I enjoy supervising and supporting therapists that want to improve their EFT and couples therapy skills. I am an AZBBHE supervisor and EFT supervisor.
